What do I need to provide upon pick up of the vehicle?

When you come into our office to collect your vehicles, please ensure you have your current valid drivers license and your credit card (with same name) with you as well as your reservation number.

Do I have to leave a bond?

A $200 bond on your credit or debit card is required and will be frozen in your account. Cash is not acceptable. The bond will automatically be released again.

Do I have to hold a full drivers license?

Yes, a full drivers license is required. A provisional license cannot be accepted.

Do I need an international drivers license if I am from overseas?

An international drivers license is required if original license is not in English.

How old do I have to be to hire a car?

All drivers have to be 21 years or over to be able to hire a car.

How can I pay for my rental charges?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Eftpos and cash. Amex incurrs a 3% surcharge. Cheques are not accepted.

Does the car come with unlimited km’s?

All our cars come with 200km’s per day.  Any extra km’s will be charged at $0.22 per km. Alternatively we offer an upgrade to unlimited km’s for an extra $20.

Will I be able to use the toll roads such as Citylink and Eastlink?

We offer an e-tag activation service which will activate the e-tag for the duration of your hire. The activation fee is $15 once off. After that you are free to use Citylink and Eastlink and we will bill you for the usage in arrears. All our vehicles are registered with Citylink and Eastlink and you are not able to use your own e-tags in our vehicles.

Do you offer a free courtesy pick up from local accommodation?

Yes, we do offer a free pick up from hotels, motels and hostels in the local area. Please ensure you confirm this with our staff when making your reservation. Pick ups subject to availability and prior arrangement.

Do I return the car full of fuel?

Yes, all our vehicles are full of fuel and we expect them to be full of fuel when they are being dropped off. An administration fee of $35 plus fuel charges apply for vehicles returned low in fuel. Fuel charge is $2.50 per litre.

Do you offer 24 Roadside Assistance?

Yes, all our cars have 24 Roadside Assist. You will be given contact details and an after hours phone number as part of your rental agreement when picking up the car. In case of an accident, mechanical fault or any other emergancy involving the vehicle please call this number.

What happens if I get a speeding fine or parking ticket?

All traffic infringements notices are mailed to us by the issuing authority. You will then be nominated as the driver and paperwork will be sent to you by authorities. All traffic infringements incur a $55 administration fee.

Am I allowed to drive on unsealed roads or take the car on a ferry?

Unfortunately you are not permitted to take our vehicles on unsealed roads or on a ferry, ship or barge.

Am I able to take the car interstate?

Please confirm this with us during the booking process.

Do you offer baby/booster seats?

Yes, we do offer baby and booster seats at $5 per day.

Am I able to return my car after hours?

Yes, we do offer after hour returns. All after hour returns have to be confirmed at the time of booking and an after hours fee may apply. Please ask our staff when making your enquiry.

Do we receive a map book?

You will receive a free map book for the duration of you hire. We also have a  range of tourist brochures to major tourist destinations in the area in our office for your convenience. Alternatively you can hire a GPS from us for an additional $10.50 per day.

Are other people allowed to drive the vehicle?

All drivers have to be nominated on the rental agreement and provide us with drivers license details. An additional drivers fee applies.

Am I able to take the car up to the snowfields during the winter months?

Yes, you may take the vehicle up to the snow, however as per our terms and conditions the excess for any damages/accidents above the snowline is $4000. You must discuss this with us at the time of booking as otherwise all insurance might be void.
